Dear Listen To Happiness families and friends,

Teacher Becky Santos of St. Francis School-VSA arts Philippines, Inc. made Listen To Happiness Speech Therapy Center a member of VSA Arts last year.  VSA means Vision of an inclusive community Strength of shared resources Artisitc expression that unites us all.  The office is based in Washington , DC, USA. VSA arts is an affiliiate of the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

In cooperation with Creative Connections, an international cultural exhange organization which is based in CT, USA, six therapy students of LTH joined its art exchange program during the last quarter of 2008.  They were Joshua Nera, Jorlene Lim, Mikey Aquino, Nathan Canon, Leila Cavan and Alyssa Ong.  The theme of the art exchange was “Windows, Looking Out, Looking In”.  The kids made artworks that revealed the Filipino culture seen thru a window, either they looked in or out a window.

We received the packet again from VSA and Creative Connections to continue phase 2 of the program.  It announced that NATHAN V CANON, son of Bart and Tin, is an honored young artist! His artwork will be exhibited at the International Art show in April 2009 in Connecticut and at the Dept of Education in Washington, DC during Interantional Education Week in November!

Congratulations Nathan, we are very proud of you!  Congratulations also to Joshua, Mikey, Jorlene, Leila and Alyssa…we consider you honored artists too!  Thank you for participating and sharing your artistic talents!  You are all wonderful creations of God!   Congratulations, too, to all parents, Bart and Tin, Julius and Carol, Edwin and Stella, Mr Lim and Marlene, Ricky and Lanie, and Albert and Nona, for honing your children’s artistic talents!  Thank you, too, to Teacher Jim for encouraging her students, Jorlene and Mikey, to participate.
