Manila Hearing Aid Center’s Children’s Day

The celebration of Children’s Day by Manila Hearing Aid Center Inc. was held at North Greenhills, San Juan. It was a fun-filled afternoon of food, games and prizes.

Lulu Luna opened the event with a prayer.  Cristina Guanzon, a high school student, shared how the FM System is helping her cope with noise caused by environmental sounds, school participation, and social activities.

SP 232 at LTH

LTH was part of the learning process of the masteral students of  Clinical Audiology and Rehabilitation Science-Speech Pathology of the University of the Philippines – Manila through its subject, SP 232 Aural Rehabilitation in Children subject, for School Year 2010-11 2nd semester.

The students observed and interacted with the children and parents of LTH during their respective therapy sessions.  These opportunities helped them to further understand the different approaches in teaching children with hearing impairment, the importance of parent participation, and effects of aggressive audiological management in a child’s progress in the areas of audition, speech, language, cognition and communication.

LTH was also a venue for lectures and group discussions of evaluation materials, long term goals, reports and report writing.
